Aegea is the leader in Brazil’s private sanitation sector, with its footprint spanning 154 towns across 13 Brazilian states: Mato Grosso do Sul, Rio de Janeiro, Mato Grosso, São Paulo, Pará, Santa Catarina, Rondônia, Maranhão, Espírito Santo, Piauí, Amazonas, Rio Grande do Sul and Ceará. Established in 2010, it currently holds 49,5% of the market share, serving more than 21 million people.

Aegea manages basic sanitation assets under full or partial concession contracts and public-private partnerships (PPPs) and manages public concessions in the entire water cycle, i.e., supply, collection and sewage treatment.
