Aegea Saneamento has won the Valor 1000 yearbook award in the Water and Sanitation category. It is one of the 26 companies recognized as the best in each sector by the awards. The ranking is announced by the newspaper Valor Econômico and recognizes the thousand biggest companies in Brazil in terms of results and financial aspects. This is the first time that a private sanitation company has won this category, which consolidates Aegea’s leadership and drive.
“We are very proud to be recognized as the best company in the sector. This achievement underscores the effectiveness of our business model, a fact that is backed by our financial numbers and improved sanitation indices. Despite the pandemic scenario, we maintained our growth and operational efficiency, especially while serving the most vulnerable population,” says Radamés Casseb, CEO of Aegea Saneamento.
The Valor Econômico yearbook is in its 21st edition. The survey, conducted by Valor in partnership with the Finance Studies Center of EAESP/FGV-SP, used net revenue as the parameter for the ranking and adopted the latest performance measurement criteria.
Aegea Saneamento believes that its initiatives, in line with the ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) principles, are essential to reduce the deficit in basic sanitation across Brazil, resulting in more dignified and healthier lives.
